These terms are between you and Lonexa LLC ("we", "us"), a Kentucky limited liability company, and they govern your use of the MicroMajors application.
By installing or using the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
MicroMajors is a baseball management game. You train a roster of fictional players, set a lineup, and play matches against other people's teams. The matches are simulated by a deterministic engine on our server and you watch them back as an animated replay with a box score.
Everything in it is fiction. The players, their names, the teams, the stadiums and the leagues are generated by the game. Nothing here is a real person, a real club, or a real competition, and no real league, team or player is endorsed by or affiliated with us.
It is a game, not a sportsbook. There is no wagering, no cash prize, and nothing you win can be exchanged for money or anything of value outside the game.
An account is required, because matches are played between two people's teams on our server and neither person's phone can be trusted to decide the result.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for everything done through your account. One person, one account: creating additional accounts to gain an advantage in a league or an exhibition is a breach of these terms.
Choose a team name and a username other people can see. They are shown in the exhibition browser and on the ladder. Do not use a name that is obscene, harassing, impersonates somebody, infringes a trade mark, or contains anybody's personal information. We may rename or remove one that does.
How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Every match is decided by the engine on our server, from your roster, your lineup, your opponent's, and a random seed. The result it produces is final.
Attempting to alter, forge or replay a result, or to reach the server other than through the app, ends the account.
The game has one currency, tickets. Tickets are earned by playing and may also be bought. The Deluxe Trainer is available as a one-time purchase or rented with tickets. There is no subscription.
Unused tickets are forfeited if you delete your account, and expire if we discontinue the game — see section 8.
Do not: use a modified client, an emulator farm, an automation tool or a bot; create multiple accounts; collude to fix the outcome of a league game; exploit a defect rather than reporting it; interfere with the queue, the ladder or another player's ability to play; reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app; or attempt to access another user's data.
We may reverse an unfair result, reset a team, remove it from a season, or suspend or terminate an account for any of these. Where a result is reversed we will try to leave the other teams in that division whole, because a division with an unplayable fixture in it punishes people who did nothing.
The only thing you write that other people see is the names you choose. You keep whatever rights you have in them and grant us the permission needed to display them inside the game and on the ladder.
MicroMajors has seasons, a ladder and a catalogue, and all three will change. Balance numbers are tuned, tiers are sized from how many people are playing, and items are added and removed. A team's rating, its division and its standing are statements about a season, not permanent property.
We will not retroactively take away something you bought. We may change what it does, and we will say so.
This game does not work offline. Matches are simulated on our server and the ladder is shared, so an outage means you cannot play. We do not promise the service will be available at any particular time.
We may modify or discontinue the game. If we shut it down we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app, stop selling tickets immediately, and let you spend what you already hold during that period. There is no refund of unspent tickets, which is why section 4 says what they are.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the game is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, a lost result, a lost season, or lost tickets.
Our total liability arising out of or relating to the game will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the game, your breach of these terms, or a name you chose.
You may stop at any time. Deleting your account inside the app removes it and everything we hold with it; see https://lonexa.ai/micromajors/delete/ for exactly what that does and what it does not.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Sections 4, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, unless the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring them elsewhere — in which case that right is unaffected.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect. Continued use afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
